AARP Driver Safety Program To Be Held At Cannon County Senior Center

Recognizing the need to help older drivers improve their skills and prevent traffic accicents, AARP offers the AARP Driver Safety Program to all motorists age 50 and older on March 25 and 26 at Cannon County Senior Center.

The eight hour classroom refresher was the first and is now the largest nationwide, comprehensive curriculum designed especially for the older motorists.

The program is available to both members and non-members of AARP. The cost for this class is $12 for AARP members and $14 for non-members. The fee is payable the day of the class.

You can call the center at 615-563-5304 to register for the class or stop by the center at 609 Lehman Street, Woodbury. The class will run from 11:30 until 3:30 p.m. each day. Upon completion of the class, you will receive a certificate of completion which you can submit to your auto insurance company for a 10% discount on your policy for three years. There are some drivers out there that need to take the class again to be eigible for the discount on their insurance.
