2009 CANNON COUNTY MINOR LEAGUE ALL STARS
11 talented boys have been chosen as the minor league 2009 all-stars. They have been traveling to various locations participating in all-star tournaments. The first was the Shelbyville summer slam 2009 tournament where they finished in 2nd place. The second was at the Buchanan Invitational where they also finished 2nd. July 10 - 12 they will also be participating in the TYBA state tournament in Murfreesboro.

Golf Team Tryouts Thursday
Cannon County High School Golf Coach Ronny Burks announced the team will hold tryouts for this year’s fall Golf Team on Thursday, July 16 at WillowBrook Golf Club in Manchester. Those interested need to be at the course at 2:00 P.M. ready to play. You should bring your own clubs and appropriate golf attire. For further information contact Ronny Burks at 563-5818.

DTC Annual Meeting To Be Held September 26
DeKalb Telephone Cooperative (d/b/a DTC Communications) will host its annual meeting on Sept. 26, 2009, at the DeKalb County Fairgrounds in Alexandria. Directors will be elected in three exchanges, including the Alexandria (529), Liberty (536), and Smithville (215/597) exchanges.
