Mrs. Mary Alice Richards, 83, of Woodbury died Dec. 2, 2010. She was born Dec. 15, 1926 in Huntingdon, TN. Her parents were the late Bill Churchwell & Flossie (Smith) Churchwell. She is preceded in death by her brother, Col. Alvin Churchwell and a sister, Billie Caudle Wertz.

NASHVILLE — A swing made of rare American Chestnut wood was recently presented to Tennessee’s Executive Residence as a gift. Earl Conaster, an employee at Edgar Evins State Park created the swing, with Cannon County blacksmith Joe Brown crafting the frame.
