NASHVILLE – Standing before throngs of Inauguration attendees on Legislative Plaza, Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam told Tennesseans across the state he was ready to go to work making Tennessee a better place to live, work and raise a family.
Senior Taylor King goes up strong against DeKalb County's defense. King scored 11 points as the No. 3-ranked Lionettes crushed DeKalb County 70-30. It marked Cannon County's 28th consecutive win against DeKalb County.

SMITHVILLE - In its first game after garnering a No. 3 ranking in the AP Top 10 Class AA statewide poll, Cannon County continued to play like a Tennessee power in a 70-30 thumping of rival DeKalb County Friday (Jan. 14).

SMITHVILLE - Cannon County started an important run of pivotal District 8-AA games with an impressive 71-57 win at rival DeKalb County Friday (Jan. 14) to complete the regular season sweep - which has been no easy task through the years.
