It was the big 8-0 birthday party for Charlotte Wimley. Hosting the event at D&J Steak House were her son, Tim Edwards and sisters, Jean and Ray Melton of Thompson Station, Joyce and David Fuller of Estell Springs, Marie Groom and daughter of Nashville, and Brenda and Jerry Witty of Woodbury. Grandchildren who came in to help were Triia Hart of Chicago, Il, Christy Toombs, Winchester and Pam Elcan of Nashville.

She celebrated again on the 4th when daughter, Shirley Edwards of Winchester with granddaughter, April Doug.

Another 80th birthday was celebrated. This took place Monday morning the 11th at Jimbos. Family and lots of friends gathered in to help Bobby Fletcher get his cake and eat it too.

Tanya Whited with daughters Alyssa and Alana have returned from a missionary trip to Ecuador. They made new friends while conducting Vacation Bible School and other ministries while there.

"Seniors" of Prosperity Baptist Church enjoyed a trip to Parsons where they ate some good catfish at the Catfish House, what else would you order? Going were Bro. David (driver) and Cindy Moody, Ted and Wanda Ray, Nick, Sr and Patsy Nokes, Faye Smith, Julia Coleman, Dwight Saddler, Phillip Hayes, Henry and Veda Walker, Joe and Mainell Foutch and Prentice and me.

Our sympathy to the family and other loved ones of Kathy King who passed away suddenly last week.

Waylon Francis turned 4 with a party hosted by mom and dad, Amanda and Jonathan. A big #4-shaped cake covered with "grass, tractors, cattle," etc. was the them and it was created by Samantha Gaither. He also enjoyed his many gifts and guests.

But he wasn't through celebrating. Tuesday it was off to Chuck E. Cheese for some more fun.

Tuesday Kullon and Shiloh Patrick, William and Grant Buterbaugh, Adrianna Reed, Bayleigh Fulkerson, Alayna Reed, Case Isenhart, DeAnna Reed, Janna Womack and I enjoyed movie day. We met Rylon and Amaieah Morrison and mom, Bethany, to enjoy "The Secret Life of Pets". This was topped off afterwards with ice cream at Dairy Queen.

Wednesday it was time for another birthday celebration, a little late, but still very enjoyable. Wilma Harris, Robbie Owen, Betty Thomas and I (my birthday) enjoyed lunch at KleerVU in Murfreesboro followed by, what else, a little shopping and ending with Culver's custard.

Well they're here!! School and Red Apple Days both begin the same day which is Friday. I know the excitement is great for both - well-l-l-l maybe Red Apple Days.

Beginning Friday night and taking place all day Saturday bring your lawn chairs, sit back and enjoy some good times, good eats and more.

Gospel singing kicks it off Friday night with lots of events scheduled for Saturday. Events include but are not necessarily limited to Lion's 5K run, Miss Red Apple Days Pageant for ages 3-20 divided into appropriate divisions, Cruise in, dog show, parade, music and more. So come on out and enjoy.

Kicking off the birthday list this week is Kayla Hickey on the 26th. The 27th belongs to my older(!) sister, Wanda Yule who hits the 76 mark. The 28th sees Thomas Brown Mullinax, Blaine Hedgecoth, and Kiley Hughes all celebrating. Moving to the 30th is when Steve Shirley, Daylen Young and David Fuller all add a year. The last day of the month is when P-pa checks in for his 74th year. He celebrates the same but different years with Ashley Swift, Jacob Duggin, Tommy Hayes, Ardana Hughes and Teresa Scott.

The first day of August is when Connie Bryson and Chris Crook celebrate. Winding up the list on the 2nd are Reid Dicky, Paul Edward Leach, John Higgins and Lexie Saddler. Happy birthday to each and all.

Happy 43rd anniversary to Tollie and Barbara Cantrell on the 30th. Scott and Connie Turney celebrate their anniversary the same day so happy anniversary to you also.
