MT MEDI A RELATIONS
A pair of former Middle Tennessee football players signed undrafted free agent contracts with NFL teams on Saturday. Tailback Benny Cunningham inked a contract with the St. Louis Rams, while Jajuan Harley agreed to a deal with the Seattle Seahawks.
Cunningham (5-10, 212) played in just five games his senior year after suffering a season-ending knee injury in the final seconds at FIU. Despite his limited time, Cunningham still rushed for 600 yards and 11 touchdowns and ranked 13th nationally in rushing and third in scoring prior to his injury.
He led the Blue Raiders to an upset win against Georgia Tech.
Harley (6-1, 213) played in all 12 games and started eight in a Blue Raider uniform. He finished the year tied for third on the team with 74 tackles, including one TFL, three interceptions, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
The two players are expected to participate in rookie workouts beginning this week.
