*** The Big Payback Tuesday, May 5 The Arts Center of Cannon County is participating in The Big Payback sponsored by the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee and the Kharis Foundation. This event will begin at 12:00 AM and continue for 24 hours giving the public the opportunity to donate to the Arts Center, which is celebrating 25 years of bringing quality entertainment to a community theater that offers so much to Cannon County. You can donate amounts from $10.00 and up by going to TheBigPayback.org or www.artscenterofcc.com *** Music Night at Cannon County Senior Center Friday, May 8, 7 p.m. Music Night at the Cannon County Senior Center will be held Friday, May 8 beginning at 7:00 p.m. The Rode West Band will be featured. Admission is $5.00
*** Down On The Farm Day Friday, May 8 Sponsored by the UT Extension Office, Farm Bureau and Farmers Co-Op will be held at the Pemberton Arena at the Fair Grounds in Woodbury. A learning experience for 4th graders regarding Agriculture, Forestry, Livestock and More. Events will begin at 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM and volunteers are needed. *** A Southern Celebration Benefiting We Care Cannon Saturday, May 30 A Southern Celebration, benefiting We Care Cannon, will be held at 6 p.m. rain or shine at the Cove on Maple Drive in Houston Hills, Woodbury. The event will feature a live auction and live Bluegrass music. Deadline for purchasing tickets is May 15. Tickets are $50 per person at Farm Bureau, First National Bank or Woodbury Funeral Home. *** Country Music Jam Session Pocahontas Community Center 1st and 3rd Fridays A country music jam sessions is set for the first and third Fridays of each month at the Pocahontas Community Center, 1441 Pocahontas Road, Morrison. *** Vintage photos sought for exhibit The Cannon County Historical Society and The Arts Center are seeking framed vintage family photos from Cannon County Families. Images need to arrive framed, ready to hang with identifying information. The images will go on display in the Cannon Hall of the Arts Center beginning in April 2015 and will conclude with a closing reception in October 2015.
