Cannon County SAVE and Pay Scale Topics For Budget Committee

Lisa Baird, Director of Cannon County SAVE (Domestic Violence) is scheduled to be at the Cannon County Budget Committee meeting tonight to discuss the program's financial needs.
The County's Budget shows a contribution toward the SAVE program of $2,000. There was no contribution last year.
The other item on the agenda concerns discussing the pay scale of county employees. At the current time most county employees are paid salary. The Budget Committee has been looking into changing going from salary to hourly.
The committee has turned in a recommendation of the fiscal year 2021-2022 budget to the Cannon County Commission for approval at last week's Commission meeting. The Commission then delayed the approval, recessing the meeting and setting a workshop up for Monday June 14th at 5:30 to work on the budget. This meeting is expected to be long.
The Cannon County Budget Committee will meet tonight at 5:00 at the finance office.
