On April 18 Cannon County Senior Center celebrated Volunteer Appreciation Days, with a luncheon for all volunteer who served from April 2011 – May 2012.

The top Senior volunteer award winner was Yvonne Grimes with over 187 volunteer service hours. She also assisted getting a senior emergency medical attention on one of her home visits.

The top Community volunteer award went to Dr. Michael Thomas, which comes every other month to speak at the Center about the latest health information in partnership with volunteers from SunCrest when called upon; He has also been the announcer for the Ms. Good Ole Days Pageant.
