This year ’s 4-H Chick Chain Show and Sale will be held Tuesday, Sept. 18 at the Courthouse Lawn with the show beginning at 9:00 a.m. and the sale beginning at 10:00 a.m. In case of rain, the show and sale will be held at the Cannon County Expo Center located in the Fairgrounds.
This year we have 25 sets of 6 Red-Star hens for auction. Known for their excellent egg laying capacity, these hens are excellent layers regardless of weather and extremely docile. Please be making your plans to attend and purchase some of these excellent hens. Remember, all proceeds from the show and sale will be used to fund the project for future years.
HONOR CLUB KICKOFF MEETING - Many of you have heard of the 4-H Honor Club. The Honor Club is composed of 4- Hers in the 6th through 12th grades and the major objective of the club is service. Members of the 4-H Honor Club perform countless service learning projects, participate in leadership retreats and opportunities, and make new friends. The next meeting of the 4-H Honor Club will be held Thursday, September 6th at the Woodbury Lions Building beginning at 6:00 pm. At this meeting, we will be planning and discussing our upcoming activities and events. All 4-Hers in the 6th through 12th grades are welcome to attend.
SOUTHERN REGION 4-H TEEN LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE - Is a wonderful opportunity for you to make new friends, have fun, and develop leadership, citizenship, and other skills to put to use in your community. This event will host 4-Hers from 7 states and is hosted by Tennessee and Kentucky. The conference will be held September 27-30 at the Clyde York 4-H center in Crossville.
