The Cannon County Cattlemen’s Association will be hosting a Chili Supper and Fun Auction on Saturday, December 11th at the Cannon County High School Cafeteria.

Proceeds from the event will go for materials needed for the new Agricultural Learning Center that will be built at CCHS.

The supper will be from 5:30-7:30 pm with the Fun Auction beginning at 6:00pm.  Tickets are $5.00 each and children 12 and under eat for free.

Tickets can be purchased from Cannon County Cattlemen members, CCHS FFA or at the Woodbury Farmer’s Co-op.

Some of the items that have been donated by area businesses include a children’s rocking chair, gift baskets, a fence charger and numerous other items that would make great Christmas presents.

The Agricultural Learning Center is being made possible by a $150,000 grant from the Tennessee Department of Agriculture’s Enhancement Program.

It will be one of approximately 12 located across the state that have been constructed to give the youth, as well as area agricultural groups a place to hold meetings, educational seminars as well as youth livestock shows and events.

The funds raised from the CCCA Fundraiser will go to help purchase needed materials and equipment for the center.
