Dennis Edward Dayton

Dennis Edward Dayton, 75, of Woodbury, died Saturday, April 21, at Woodbury Health Care Center following an extended illness.

A native of Cumberland County, he was a member of the Woodbury First Baptist church. Dennis was retired from TVA where he was an Electrician. He was a veteran of Air Force. Dennis loved his time with his family the most and he also loved spending time outdoors.

Survivors:

Wife of 54 years: Pat Bohannon Dayton of Woodbury.

Children: Jeff Dayton of Charlotte, NC., Terri (Hershel) Logan of Woodbury, Jim (Mary) Dayton of Smyrna.

Grandchildren:  Josh Mullinax, Dakota Logan, Rebekah, Sarah, Joseph Dayton, Liz & Zach Dayton.

Sister: Barbara Dayton Rushing of Crossville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James & Nell Anderson Dayton and his daughter, Marcy Dayton.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 with Bro. Hunter Hay officiating. Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery in Crossville.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24 and Wednesday until time of  services.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Assoc. and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
