Doris Brownie Solomon Jones

Doris Brownie Solomon Jones, 78, died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012 at her home following an extended illness.

A resident of Woodbury, she was a native of Franklin Co., TN.             

Survivors:

Husband: Jim Jones of Woodbury.

Son: Bobby and Lisa Doney of Fayetteville.

Daughter: Janet and Paul Veeneman of Tullahoma.

Brother: Lee and Linda Solomon of Smithville.

Grandchildren: Leigh Blount, Leslie, Will and Terry Doney, Kyle, Adam and Rachel Dickson, Regina Meeks and Rhonda Pennington.

Nieces and Nephew: Aaron Solomon, Tara James and Courtney Berlyak.

Also surviving are three great grandchildren.

A member of the Woodbury Church of Christ, she was retired from Superior Home Health as an Advanced LPN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Lee (Pete) and Georgia Lee Luttrell Solomon.

Funeral service will be held at Woodbury Church of Christ at 2:00 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, 2012 with Bro. Herb Alsup officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Gardens. 

Visitation is from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012 and she will lie in state from 1:00 p.m. until time of Services at Woodbury Church of Christ.

Pallbearers: Bruce Luttrell, Buck Robinson, Aaron Solomon, Stan Hollandsworth, Tony Mason, Jimmy Luttrell & Dr. Leon Reuhland, Danny Vythouthkas, Jason Pittman.

In lieu of flowers donations, may be made to American Cancer Society or Short Mountain Bible Camp.
