...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY
EVENING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...A portion of Middle Tennessee, including the following
  counties, Bedford, Cannon, Clay, Coffee, Cumberland, Davidson, De
  Kalb, Fentress, Giles, Grundy, Jackson, Lawrence, Lewis, Macon,
  Marshall, Maury, Overton, Pickett, Putnam, Rutherford, Smith,
  Sumner, Trousdale, Van Buren, Warren, Wayne, White, Williamson and
  Wilson.

* WHEN...From late tonight through Thursday evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Low-water
  crossings may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - 3 to 5 inches of rain is expected, with higher amounts
    possible, especially south of I-40.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Middle Tennessee.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Rain will spread across Middle Tennessee today and become heavier
tonight. Localized flooding is possible in a few areas.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Heavy rain is expected Thursday and Thursday evening as a strong
surface boundary works its way across Middle Tennessee. The greatest
amounts are expected in areas near the Alabama state line, and also
along the Cumberland Plateau. Total rainfall amounts of 3 to 5 inches
are expected in these areas, which may cause flooding on roads, poor
drainage areas, rivers and creeks.

Freezing rain is possible in some areas on Thursday and will spread
across most of the mid state Thursday night. Some ice accumulations
are possible, with the heaviest amounts expected around the
Clarksville and Dover areas.

Tonight
Showers likely, mainly before midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 48. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Thursday
Showers, mainly after 7am. High near 61. Southeast wind 5 to 15 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.
Thursday Night
Rain showers before 10pm, then rain or freezing rain between 10pm and 3am, then freezing rain and sleet likely after 3am. Low around 28. North wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New ice accumulation of less than a 0.1 of an inch possible. Little or no sleet accumulation expected.

Cloudy, with a high near 35. North wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
