Edmonson's vehicle overturned off the right side of the roadway. The truck being driver by Anderson also ran off the right side of the roadway south of Woodland Elementary School the report states.

There were three passengers in Edmonson's vehicle. She and Chance Gilliam, 11, a fifth grade student at Woodland Elementary, were transported by lifeflight to Vanderbilt.

Calvin Edmonson, 30, and Elvira Beck, 72, were transported by ambulance to Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital.

Anderson was checked for injuries at St. Thomas Stones River Hospital and released.

"Anytime there is an accident it is unfortunate, especially if it involves injuries," Woodbury mayor Andy Duggin. "All of the victims are in our prayers and we hope they are OK," he said.

Duggin said the town is doing all it can to assist the THP in its investigation. A final report may not be available for a week or two.

Anderson had been working in the area as part of a crew on a water line issue, Public Works Director Shane Gannon said. The town also supplies water service to county residents.
