Granville Erskine Early, Jr.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 10 AM from the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Place of rest will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Woodbury, TN. Visitation with the family will be Friday February 15th from 5 to 8 PM and on Saturday from 9 AM until time of service. For those desiring, memorials may be made to Walnut St. Church of Christ.

Mr. Granville Erskine Early, age 87 of Dickson, TN died Wednesday February 13, 2019. Born in Murfreesboro, TN he was the son of the late Granville Erskine Early, Sr. and Anne Amelia McIntosh Early. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Ann Burnett Early and his daughter, Dana Gilliland. Granville worked for South Central Bell in his early career and later made his livelihood as a realtor and residential contractor. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the Walnut St. Church of Christ.

Granville's favorite pastimes were reminiscing with friends and fishing. He enjoyed being with his family and cherished time when all could be together.

Survivors include his daughters, Marcia Claire Foncree of Hendersonville, TN, Lisa Camille Cooper of Dickson, TN, Celia Cathleen Ennis (Jim) of Dyersburg, TN; 7 grandchildren, Lydia Cooper, Leah Cooper, Layne Cooper, Alyssa Foncree, Taylor Alexander (Jake), Seth Gilliland, Grace Gilliland; 1 great granddaughter, Ragan Alexander.
