James Bond reports theft to sheriff

Cannon County Sheriff's Deputy Michael Agee was dispatched to Cover Hill Rd. on Feb. 27 in reference to an alleged theft, according to an incident report.

He spoke with James A. Bond, who said someone broke into his out building and took his power tools without his permission.

Bond placed a value on all the missing tools at $1,135.

Bond advised the deputy of two possible suspects who might have pawned the missing tools in McMinnville.

The incident is under investigation.

• Deputy Agee took a report from Duayne A. Cater of Bell Buckle on Feb. 27.

Cater went to the sheriff's department to report that on Feb. 24, while riding horses in the Hollow Springs Area, he either lost his G27 Gen 4 Glock .40 caliber handgun, or someone took it out of one of his saddle bags without his permission.

Cater said the value of the gun is $620.

• Sgt. Chip Avera of the sheriff's department spoke with Barry Mitchell by phone on Feb. 28 in reference to a stolen vehicle. He is the owner of Ivy Bluff Auto Salvage.

Mitchell stated around 7 p.m. he had a 1999 Lexus LS4 stolen. It was taken from Ivy Bluff Auto Salvage. The car was for resale and not scrap. The car was operable at the time it was taken.

Mitchell provided Sgt. Avera with a possible suspect. The vehicle is valued at $1,200.
