Literary and wine appreciation meets
Tuesday, October 16, 2012 3:40 pm The Literary and Wine Appreciation Society marches into fall with a pre-Halloween meeting scheduled for Sunday, October 28, at 2:30 p.m. Costumes are optional but if a member wishes to wear one it will only add to the usual festivities. The October meeting will be held at a new locale which is 945 Porterfield Road. The novel to be discussed, or ignored as the case may be, is Saving CeeCee Honeycutt, a debut novel and New York Times best seller, by Beth Hoffman.
While this book is discussed the wine selection to be tasted and judged will be American wines with pretty labels. A wine reviewer opined that wineries appeared to be in a contest to create the most exciting and artistic label because many wine enthusiasts purchased wine by the look of the label and not by the taste of the wine. Our little group will be the judge of that.
