Lyda Mae Allmon Parker, 89, passed away Sat., July 14 following an extended illness. A native of Cannon Co., she was a resident of Manchester. 

Funeral services will be 2 pm, Monday in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff McMahan officiating. Interment will follow in the Ivy Bluff Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 12 noon until 9 pm Sunday, July 15, 2012.  Honorary Pallbearers will be caregivers at McArthur Manor.
 
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Lois Allmon and many nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews. A veteran of WWII, she was in the Marines, a farmer and a homemaker.  A member of the McMahan Church of Christ, she was also a member of the Ivy Bluff Home Demonstration Club.
 
Ms. Parker was preceded in death by her parents, Cap H. Allmon & Hattie Brewer Allmon; husband, R. Houston Parker; siblings, Cecil I. Allmon, Hazel A. Smith, Wauline Duggin, Gladys (Polly) A. Pierce & Jack R. Allmon.
