A dispute between a local couple almost turned deadly following an altercation at their home.

Grady Lee Williams, age 43, of Jim Perkins Road, was arrested by Cannon County Sheriff's Deputy Randy Neal after he reportedly held his girlfriend hostage at gunpoint.

According to court documents, Williams got into an argument with is girlfriend when he took out a gun and placed it to her head.

According to Deputy Neal, the victim tried to leave the residence but Williams threatened to shoot her if she did.

Deputies quickly arrived at the scene and took Williams into custody and charged him with aggravated domestic assault and kidnapping.

The incident took place on April 26.

Williams was released on $15,000.00 bond.

He is scheduled to appear before General Sessions Judge Susan Melton on June 15, 2010.

No one was seriously injured during the incident.
