Charges of DUI and reckless endangerment were lodged against a local woman on Sept. 15 by Woodbury Police Dept. Sgt. John House.

Brandy Anne Bates, 2301 Eugene Reed Rd., Woodbury, is scheduled to appear in Cannon County General Sessions Court on Oct. 12 to answer the charges.

The incident occurred on South McCrary St., according to the citation issued by Sgt. House.

According to sources, Bates was found unconscious in her car while it was parked at Fred's.

The reckless endangerment charge stems from Bates' two-month-old child being in the vehicle at the time of her arrest for DUI.

Bates was released on $5,500 bond.
