Monte Joe Hutchins, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away November 2, 2017, following an extended illness, surrounded by family. He was born July 19, 1933 to Joe D. and Dollie Brazzell Hutchins in Nashville. He was a native of Cannon County and a resident of the Leoni community.

He was a long-time member of Leoni Church of Christ and a realtor in Cannon County for 32 years. He enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Anna Redmon Hutchins, and their four children; sons, Carey Hutchins, Greg Hutchins, Mike Hutchins (Jan) all of Woodbury, daughter, Debby Hughes (Wade) of Knoxville, and daughter-in-law, Pam Hutchins Youngblood of Centertown. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Blake and Brad Hutchins and Callie Stephens (Dylan) all of Murfreesboro, Cassie McLure (Matt) of Donelson, Dustin Hutchins of Memphis, Chris (Regena) Hughes and Nick (Jamie) Hughes of Knoxville. He also leaves six great-grandchildren, Sophi, Rawley and Turner Stephens and Jackson, Benjamin and Monte Hughes. He is also survived by sisters Jean Boiko and Eva Davenport of Woodbury and many nieces and nephews.

Monte was preceded in death by son, Truett Hutchins; brother, Dick Hutchins; brothers-in-law, Peter Boiko and Edward Davenport.

Visitation will be Friday, November 3, from 2 until 8 p.m. at Woodbury Funeral Home. The funeral, officiated by Jim Boyd, will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Leoni Church of Christ with burial immediately following at Leoni Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Leoni Cemetery Fund or the Lunches with Love program at Ivy Bluff Church of Christ.
