Robert Lloyd Kemp

Robert Lloyd Kemp passed into God’s loving hands on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at the age of 82.

A resident of Auburntown, TN, Mr. Kemp was born in Seymour, Iowa.

Survivors:

Wife of 51 years: Mary Johnson Kemp of Auburntown

Children: David Sadler of Eatonton, GA, Sandi McDaniel (Glenn) of Auburntown, Glen Kemp of Palm Bay, FL, Susan Turney (Todd) of Auburntown, Robert Kemp of Ashville, NC.

6 Grandchildren: Hal Diggs, Jared Zimmerman, Sarah Megan Nash, Jordon, Lauren & Mackenzie Turney.

10 Great grandchildren.

Sister: Betty Rocha of Des Moines, Iowa

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thelma Fairy Smith and James Owen Kemp and his grandson; Michael Sadler.

Mr. Kemp served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1952.  He graduated with honors from University of Florida in 1958.  He was a CPA , where he was a partner at Purvis, Gray & Co. in Gainesville, FL., a member of the Auburntown Church of Christ, and a member of the Exchange Club in Gainesville, FL.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 3, 2012 with Bro. David Dunn and Bro. John Fortner officiating.

Interment will be in Donnell Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 2, 2012.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Short Mountain Bible Camp or the American Heart Association.
