Roy Lee Murphy

Roy Lee Murphy, age 74, of Readyville and a native of Woodbury, TN. passed away Saturday morning, December 24, 2016. Roy loved building and spent his adult life in construction. He was born November 9, 1942 to his late parents, Ed & Liz Murphy and Martha Mai Murphy. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Lela Finley, Ines Davenport, Allie Allan and Ruth Fletcher; brothers, Joe Murphy, Clifton Murphy, Howard Murphy, and Ray Murphy.

Survivors include his children Ronnie Murphy of Tennessee, Donna (Kenny) McNeal of Louisiana, and Sabrina (Ellis) Rucker of Georgia. He is the proud grandfather of Kenneth Dobson, Christopher Dobson, Whitney Dobson, Joshua Rucker, and Jacob Rucker. He has 8 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters: Magaline Davenport, Betty (Dooluy) Green and Arlene (Larry) Sanders and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be at 2PM on December 31, 2016 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Pastor Ellis Rucker will officiate the service.
