TV Deal Announced For Middle Tennessee-Tennessee Women's Battle

NASHVILLE - A state-wide televised broadcast for the upcoming Middle Tennessee-Tennessee women's basketball game has been announced. The contest will be shown throughout the state on three MyNetworkTV affiliates, including Nashville's WUXP (MyTV30) as the flagship station.

"We are thrilled to work with MT to bring this high-profile matchup to viewers throughout the state," WUXP-MyTV30 General Manager and Group Director Steve Mann said. "With two legendary coaches in Rick Insell and Pat Summitt, we look forward to showcasing this battle of nationally-ranked powers."

Fans in the Murfreesboro/Nashville viewing area can watch the game on Comcast Channel 14. Other stations set to show the game include WAPK (MyWAPK) in the Tri-Cities and WVLT-2 (MyVLT2) in Knoxville.

The three combined markets broadcasting the game cover a potential of 1.9 million households.

The game, set for 7 p.m. November 25, will mark the Lady Vols' first visit to Murfreesboro in 30 years.

Middle Tennessee's director of broadcasting Chip Walters will handle play-by-play duties, while former Vanderbilt standout Ashley McElhiney will join him on the call as the analyst.
