Weather Closes Cannon County Schools Thursday February 16th

Cannon County Schools will be CLOSED on Thursday, February 16^th, 2023 due to potential severe weather forecasted.

Director of Cannon County Schools - Mr. William Freddy Curtis stated, "Cannon County Schools will be CLOSED on Thursday, February 16^th, 2023 due to the threat of potential severe weather forecasted to move into Cannon County tomorrow in at least two separate rounds. Cannon County is under an Enhanced Risk of Severe Weather on Thursday, February 16^th, 2023 with a threat of 'Storms will continue throughout the day Thursday. Once again, damaging straight-line winds and isolated tornadoes are the primary threats. Localized flooding during heavy downpours is also possible' according to the National Weather Service - Nashville Office. The safety of our students and personnel is always our utmost priority. This will be our 5^thInclement Weather Day utilized in the 2022-2023 School Year."
