A Woodbury man was killed in a one-vehicle accident on Thursday night on U.S. 70 South (John Bragg Hwy.)

According to the incident report filed by Trooper Christopher DeLong of the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Johnathan W. Darrow of Woodbury was traveling east in a 2004 Chrevrolet Envoy at approximately 7:25 p.m.

Darrow attempted to pass a vehicle to the left, the report states. He overcorrected and lost control of his vehicle. Darrow went off the road to right, striking a guardrail. After striking the guardrail, Darrow's vehicle overturned several times before coming to a stop at the bottom of an embankment.

Darrow was pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident, DeLong's report states. The report also indicates alcohol may have been a contributing factor
