On May 11 the National Association of Letter Carriers sponsored their annual food drive.

This years’ food drive “Stamp out Hunger” was a golden opportunity for the rural carriers of the Bradyville Post Office and their customer to show their volunteer spirit. This year approximately 400 pounds of food was collected and donated to the Cannon County Food Bank.

A week prior to the food drive the Bradyville rural mail carriers distributed information cards and special bags. These bags were filled with non-perishable food items by the Bradyville Post Office rural route and PO Box customers and on May 11th were hung on or set beside mail boxes.

Some customers brought the bags to the Post Office and some customer met the mail man or mail lady at the box. The carriers did a wonderful job of delivering the mail and picking up all of the food that the Bradyville community generously donated.

I would like to thank everyone in the Bradyville community that donated food and helped with the food drive.

Special thanks go to the Bradyville rural carriers, Cheryl Franklin, Jennifer Lloyd, and Bill Burgess, for donating their time. Thank you, Sincerely, Charlene Wilson Bradyville Officer In Charge Pictured, left, Jennifer Lloyd, right, Cheryl Franklin. Bill Burgess not pictured
