Brent D. Bush announces his candidacy for the office of County Commissioner of the 4th District as an Independent Candidate on the August 2014 General Election Ballot. Brent and his wife, Lydia (Gentry) Bush, are natives of Cannon County, and they returned to settle in Cannon County in 2011 following his honorable retirement from military service.
Brent and Lydia lived in various communities near military post's state side, overseas and in Europe. Brent also served in Korea and deployed to multiple countries on military operations to include much of the Middle East and Southwest Asia. They have three grown children, Jessica (Mowl), Zak, Nathan, and two grand children Kaden and Landon.
I fully believe that I am uniquely qualified for this office based on my commitment and experience. My roots are here in Cannon County. My Grandparents are the late Oren and Nannie (Whitfield) Bush and Shelah and Geneva (Parton) Foster. They believed in family, honesty and hard work. My grandfather's on both served on the School Board and my grandfather Shelah Foster also served as the 8th District County Commissioner for 20 years.
I grew up in a family run business with my father and mother Dale and Mary Lynn Bush and Uncle and Aunt Maurice and Helon Bush. We all worked hard in that that business for many years. My father Dale would later serve as County Executive and my mother Mary Lynn (Foster) Bush also served as our administrator of elections.
I believe that I bring a wealth of experience to the office of County Commissioner. I will work diligently to represent everyone in the 4th District and plan to meet as many you as I can. However, if I don't, I would appreciate your vote and support in this year's August General Election.
