Cannon Baseball Advances To Sectional For First Time

The Cannon County Lions met the defending Class AA state champions a total of six times this season. Their record ended up 3-3 against the Purple Tigers with the most important win coming Saturday night in the double elimination Region 3-AA tournament as Cannon won 7-3. The Lions are one best of three series away from headed to their ever Spring Fling state tournament. With Saturday's win, they will advance to their first ever Sectional in school history.
They will meet Cascade at Cascade on Wednesday in the best of three. Two games are slated for Wednesday starting at 5:00 with game three (if necessary) being Thursday at 6:00.
