WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 4 AM CDT FRIDAY... * WHAT...Southwest winds of 20 to 30 mph are expected...with gusts to 40 mph. * WHERE...The entire Middle Tennessee area. * WHEN...From 4 PM this afternoon to 4 AM CDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs and shallow rooted trees could be blown down and a few power outages may result. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH 1 AM CDT FRIDAY...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* The entire Middle Tennessee area, including the following
  counties, Bedford, Cannon, Cheatham, Clay, Coffee, Cumberland,
  Davidson, De Kalb, Dickson, Fentress, Giles, Grundy, Hickman,
  Houston, Humphreys, Jackson, Lawrence, Lewis, Macon, Marshall,
  Maury, Montgomery, Overton, Perry, Pickett, Putnam, Robertson,
  Rutherford, Smith, Stewart, Sumner, Trousdale, Van Buren,
  Warren, Wayne, White, Williamson, and Wilson.

* Through 1 AM CDT Friday Morning

* Multiple rounds of heavy rainfall from 1 AM CDT Thursday through
  1 AM CDT Friday will cause excessive rainfall amounts of 1 to 3
  inches. Additionally, the intense thunderstorm activity will
  produce very high rainfall rates which will only increase the
  threat of flash flooding.


* Heavy rainfall along with high rainfall rates will cause excess
  runoff and localized flash flooding in the watch area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to Flash Flooding. Flash Flooding is a very dangerous situation.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.




This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Middle Tennessee.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Severe thunderstorms are likely this afternoon and evening across all
of Middle TN. The first of two rounds of severe storms could occur
this afternoon, between 1 and 6 pm, west of I-65. These storms could
contain strong, long-track tornadoes, large hail and could produce flash
flooding. The second round will be a broken line of storms that is
expected to cross the TN River around 6 pm and exit the Plateau by 11
pm. This broken line will carry the potential for damaging straight
line winds, large hail, flash flooding and multiple tornadoes.

A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for all of Middle TN until 1 AM
Friday.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Strong to severe storms are possible on Saturday across all of Middle
TN. Damaging wind gusts and hail are the main threats with these
storms.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will be needed. Please relay any information
about observed severe weather to the NWS while following all local,
state, and CDC guidelines.
Today
Showers likely, then showers and thunderstorms after 7am. Some storms could be severe, with large hail and damaging winds. High near 72. South wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.
Tonight
Showers and thunderstorms, mainly before midnight. Some storms could be severe, with large hail, damaging winds, and heavy rain. Low around 50. Windy, with a west southwest wind 20 to 25 mph decreasing to 15 to 20 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.
Friday
Mostly sunny, with a high near 69. West wind around 5 mph.
Friday Night
A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1am. Mostly clear, with a low around 47. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph.
Saturday
Showers and thunderstorms likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 71. Light south southeast wind becoming south southwest 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
Saturday Night
Showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Low around 57. South southwest wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.
Sunday
Showers and thunderstorms likely before 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 65. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
Sunday Night
Mostly clear, with a low around 40. North northeast wind around 5 mph.
Monday
Sunny, with a high near 65. East northeast wind around 5 mph.

A 20 percent chance of showers after 1am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 46.
